Localism is a bustling collection of hyper-local communities, and the top neighbors should reflect those members who are most active. When ranking users in a given region, several factors are considered. To get your foot in the proverbial door, you need to have posted at least one "Localism" article or photo for the region.
The very best way to quickly rise to #1 is to post high-quality local content. Keeping a steady strem of incoming posts and photos will massively tilt the scales in your favor.
What doesn't count toward the top neighbor ranking? ActiveRain points and community sponsorships. The top neighbor spots will always go to the most active members in a region. We want to create a level playing field that encourages the growth of communities — talent and dedication are required to win the day.
The JaneDear Girlscountry music duo will perform at Mo’s Place 21940 Kingsland Katy Texas on Friday October 21, 2011 at 7:00 P.M. The JeanDear Girls are nominated for the Single of the Year for New Artists on the American Country Awards. The nominated song is named “Wildflower”.The tickets cost $10 per person and attendees have to be at least 21 years of age or older.
This duo also will appear on the show “Hart of Dixie” and the episode will air November 28, 2011. Mo's in Katy has many live performances and a schedule of advance bookings. Try Mo's Place web site for more information. Mo's Place has a set of rather strict rules.
The American Country Awards will be a televised awards program that will broadcast live from the MGM Hotel in Las Vegas. Airing date is December 5, 2011 and will be shown on the Fox network from 8:00 P.M. till 10:00 P.M. (ET). The show is tape delayed on the West coast. The American Country Awards will also feature performances and appearances by the year 2011 most popular country artists as determined by music sales.
I have never heard of this duo let alone hear them sing any song. I did find a video on their web site. I have placed it below. Let me know what you think.
“Lazy Gardener” Brenda Beust will Speak at Local Gardening Club in Katy Texas Meeting
Nottingham Country Garden Club will host its next meeting on Thursday October 6, 2011 with Houston ChroniclecolumnistBuest Smith AKA “The Lazy Gardener “ will be the featured speaker. The meeting begins at 9:30 A.M. with a social time and the program will follow. The meeting is being held at Harris County MUD Building No. 81 or 805 Hidden Canyon Katy Texas.
Brenda will present her “The Ten Commandments of Lazy Gardening” to the group. Brenda started “The Lazy Gardener” many years ago as she saw most folks not having much time to tend to gardening. At the time she had no idea that her ideas would catch on as a method of being Green. Her idea is to have plants which take little maintenance and minimal chemicals in your garden.
Nottingham Country Garden Club membership is open to anyone living in the West Houston and Katy area. Dues are cheap being $25/ year. The group holds monthly meetings on the first Thursday of each month from September through May. The meetings are always held at the MUD # 81 building. Parking is very limited and I would go early if you or your family want to hear Brenda’s speech.

Nottingham Country is well-established, tree-lined subdivision on the south of I-10 in Katy Texas. This community was first developed in 1975 by Vincent Kickerillo. Today it is considered part of the Kelliwood developments. Most of the homes in this neighborhood feature home styles such as Victorian, Colonial, Tudor, and Traditional. The streets are lined with mature trees and yards are well groomed.
These are but a few of the questions that we hear. Below you will see a copy of an actual estimate. Home Staging prices are a mystery to the average consumer and this consumer "stage fright/price fright" can often stop a client from making contact with our companies. A quick canvass of Home Staging providers in Houston doesn't provide a clue as to what staging services cost (although, we like to say that a professional staging service doesn't 'cost' anything! Home staging is an 'investment' not a 'cost').
Houston Home Staging is often chosen as a service provider because we post our pricing. After 90 days, our furniture is leased on a month-to-month basis (proratable) using the prices that you see on the estimate.
Your estimate is broken down into two basic categories:
Product (furniture, artwork, acccessories, etc...) These are fixed prices.
Services (delivery/pickup, staging, consultations, photography, refreshment station, etc...) These prices vary depending on location, and complexity of the project.
The prices for furniture and accessories are determined by using standard furniture rental calculations (25 - 30% of replacement cost). So a table that is purchased for $100 is rented for $25.
With Houston Home Staging, you only pay for one month of a 90 day furniture rental.
Is our Estimate binding? Houston Home Staging works on a not-to-exceed budget. So, we'll guarantee a not-to-exceed price (in this example we would probably cap the price at $2500). During the creative process, ideas come and go and no two of our stagings are alike. Each is custom designed and installed. Often, while loading a truck for an installation, we find a little something or other, that inspires the use of additional inventory. This method gives each staging project a customized, fresh look. Rather than bother the client with an additional budget request, we just bring along the new item.
So, is our estimate binding? The price is guaranteed, and the major pieces on the estimate are never substituted without notifying the client. Generally, our clients aren't part of the creative process, but (if asked) we can provide photographs of the major pieces that we'll be using.
Typically, a vacant house staging is completed within a week of the initial contact with the client. (Sometimes we're able to turn our projects within 24 hours of the initial contact). At the end of the installation, the staging is photographed, and inventoried. The client receives a final, detailed inventory. Typically, our final inventory exceeds the original estimated amount. But with our not-to-exceed price guarantee there are no surprises. Well, actually there is a surprise: everyone's surprised that we can provide such a great staging for such a little investment!
