Have you heard of Kirby, TX?

Kirby is a small town surrounded by San Antonio. If it was part of San Antonio, it would be in the northeast section of town. It's a tad outside Loop 410, and within ten minutes of Brooke Army Medical Center (BAMC) and the Fort Sam Houston Army Base.

Kirby's population in 2008 was a little over 8,600, according to City-Data.com.

I am representing owners who have a neat home on a one-acre lot in Kirby. The original house was built in 1949. I don't think Kirby was incorporated back then and developers gave the homeowners a generously-sized piece of land upon which to place their homes.Few properties on sale in Kirby today are on one acre or larger lots, so this one really stands out. Try finding an acre of land in Bexar County with a house on it for these owners' asking price. As a former President used to say, "Not gonna happen."

The owners of this property got permission from the City of Kirby to vacate and replat the property so an aditional house could be built on the site. They did not carry out the plan to place an additonal house on the land. The new owners will have to obtain permission from the City of Kirby to vacate and replat the lot if they want to add another house.. The potential inverstment opportunity may make this a viable option. The current owners have agreed to coach the new owners through the process if they want to add an additional house on the property

This house is a couple of blocks from City Hall, and provides easy access to the major freeways on the northeast side of San Antonio. I've been told one can drive from the house to downtown San Antonio in less than twenty minutes.
