The Bay Colony Pointe section of Bay Colony is the largest consisting of 6 sections with a total of 864 homes. Construction in Bay Colony Pointe began in 2000 and continued through 2009. Builders in Bay Colony Pointe included Lennar Homes, Espree Homes, Dakota Blue Homes and Richmond American Homes. Homes in Bay Colony Pointe range in size from around 1200 square foot to over 2800 square feet. The subdivision is made up of many streets many of them cul-de-sac. Residents in Bay Colony Pointe have use Pool and Playground at The Bay Colony Recreation Center located on Bay Colony Elementary Drive. Currently Homes in Bay Colony Pointe are selling in the $100,000-$160,000 price range.
Centerfield in Bay Colony was the first section to be developed in the Community. Pulte Homes built about 10 homes between 1987 and 1989. In the early 90’s Morrison Homes came into the subdivision, Royce Homes followed in the Late 90’s. Centerfield in Bay Colony consist of 117 homes ranging in size from around 1500 square feet to over 2700 square feet. Centerfield in Bay Colony shares a playground and Pool with its neighboring section Centerfield Lakes in Bay Colony. Both Centerfield and Centerfield Lakes have use of the Bay Colony Recreation Center on Bay Colony Elementary Drive as well.
Centerfield Lakes in Bay Colony gets its name from the small manmade lakes bordering FM 646 between Bay Creek and Diamond Bay. This section consists of 179 single family homes. Royce Homes and Lennar Homes were the builders in the section, starting construction 1998 and completing construction in 2002. Lennar Homes built their very popular Signature series home in Centerfield Lakes. The signature Series featured Spacious open floor plans with design features like crown molding, art niches and high ceilings. As in Centerfield the homes in this section range from 1500 square feet to over 2700 square feet. Centerfield Lakes in Bay Colony shares a playground and Pool with its neighboring section Centerfield in Bay Colony. Both Centerfield and Centerfield Lakes have use of the Bay Colony Recreation Center on Bay Colony Elementary Drive as well.
The Lakes in Bay Colony is the premier section in Bay Colony. The section features a couple of large manmade lakes complete with fountains. Construction of the now 199 homes began in 1999 with Perry Homes one of Houston’s best known and respected builders. The Lakes in Bay Colony is one of the only sections in Bay Colony featuring homes with detached garages some of which are oversized. The homes in the Lakes are larger starting at around 1800 square feet to over 4000 square feet. Other builders who have built in the Lakes include Maplewood Homes, Royce Homes, Brighton Homes and currently building Angelica Homes. Homes in the Lakes are currently selling for $150,000 to over $200,000.
