The Nassau Bay Garden Club's first ever Walk Through The Garden event is scheduled for Staurday, November 19 from 10:00am - 3:00pm. For visitors to our city, it's a relaxing and picturesque way to spend a few hours while sitting amongst some of the most vivid examples of nature.

For citizens of the City, it's the best way to become familiar with the garden nearest your neighborhood. When was it first planted, how has it changed over the years, what's growing there now, and what are future plans for the area?

NBGC members will attend each garden to explain its history and evolution. Begin your walk at any of the five NBGC gardens: (1) The entrance gardens to Lake Nassau Park, (2) Reflection Garden in Lake Nassau Park, (3) Upper Bay Circle Garden on Upper Bay Road, (4) Tranquility Arbor (Ward Park) all on Upper Bay Road in Nassau Bay, or (5) Swan Lagoon Butterfly Garden on Lagoon Drive in Nassau Bay.

My granddaughter had her 8th birthday party at the gymnastics she attends, ACRO-Gymnastics, 1800 West Nasa Boulevard, Webster, TX 77598, (281) 332-4496.

I must say this place was stuffed with fun! There were two Mosh Pitts full of big squared sponges, in one you could swing from a rope suspended from the roof top and drop into the pit. The other you slid into it from a big slide...the kids all loved this area. Even the BIG KIDS.

There were two trampolines, and things hanging from the ceiling from which one could dangle to their hearts delite!

Below is my granddaughter partially submerged in the Sponge Mosh Pitt and the other picture is of the parachute game in which everyone participated! It was really fun.

Webster has a lot to offer families in the way of energetic fun. Next to the gym is Challenger Park which is bordered by the bay. Lots of fishing can be done by your children and the play ground is excellent.

I started my day beside the lake, strolling along the boardwalk on a beautiful September morning, camera in hand. My close friend and Bay Area novelist, Carlos Ledson Miller, accompanied me, and it wasn't necessary for him to point out what it is about living at Bayfront Towers that makes it impossible for him to live anywhere else.

Bayfront Towers is a condominium community located on the north shore of Clear Lake in Nassau Bay, Texas. Each of the 74 units at the complex offers a superb view of the lake. In fact, the view of Clear Lake from Bayfront Towers is the best the area has to offer.

Amenities at Bayfront Towers include a swimming pool and assigned parking beneath the buildings. Elevators are located in each of the two buildings in addition to the conveniently placed stairwells. The Bayfront Towers waterfront features a boardwalk with private pier, a quiet space for enjoying the calming surroundings of Clear Lake as well as the property's mature landscaping. The grounds are nicely kept by the community association's contracted lawn service, but residents of Bayfront Towers demonstrate pride of ownership by donating their time and resources, installing fresh and well maintained plantings throughout the property.

The balconies of every unit at Bayfront Towers face Clear Lake and are spacious enough to accommodate friends and family for dining and entertainment. This event is a favorite for young and old - it's a wonderful way to bring in the Christmas holidays.

Nassau Bay, is one of the older communities around the Clear Lake area. It is located off of NASA Rd 1/NASA Pkwy on Upper Bay Road, and is located around Clear Lake. Being across from the Johnson Space Center, it has been the home to many Astronauts and NASA officials. Alot of the homes are going through a transformation of updating. These homes were custom homes so it's not like alot of other cookie cutter developments. Some of the homes are located on the water, many have boat docks and with huge old oak trees. There are approximately 2000 homes here. It is another pocket of unique homes and townhomes in Bal Harbour. Casual living, with older single and two story homes, with alot of character. It is actually a city, but is mostly residential, there are a few restaurants, and churches in that area, and they have their own police department.
