Chart of Annual Sales on the RiseHome sales are on the rise in North Texas! Over the last several months DSNews has been reporting increases in the local housing market. The last quarter of 2011 maintained a trend upward. And that upward trend continues on into the new year of 2012.

Pie Chart of Changes by Price RangesHousing sales in the $200-$250 range are being knocked off the shelf with the number of inventory rapidly diminishing. The pie chart represents the changes within price ranges as of the last quarter of 2011.

During the month of January 2012 the Plano-Murphy-Wylie area sold 164 homes with 33 homes in the $200-$250 range and 39 homes in the $250-$500 range. The average home sales price was $231,478 and days on market 107. Looking forward to seeing what the February housing market trends will be.
