I'm a little late in posting this but after seeing the show last night I wanted to make sure that you had the opportunity to hear about the Plano East Fine Arts musical production of the 1980's hit FOOTLOOSE presented November 20th - 22nd, 2008 at 7:30 PM at Plano East Theatre.

Footloose is a high spirited, high energy musical based on the hit 1984 movie, starring Kevin Bacon. It's the story of a big city boy who moves to a small town and shakes up the status quo with his unconventional, rebellious attitude. Music includes; "Holding Out for a Hero", "Almost Paradise", "Let's Hear if for the Boy" and always a crowd favorite "Footloose".

It's a family friendly show too! Great singing, dancing and acting combine to make this a fabulous show!

2008-09 Plano East Theatre Students

The award winning Plano East Theatre Department under the leadership of Lisa Hale, Theatre Director and Zachary Elms, Technical Director is getting ready for the fall 2008 season. Auditions for the season's first show, starring the "by audition and invitation only" Theatre Major Studies students are August 26^th & 27^th.

The first show, The Rimers of Eldritch, by Lanford Wilson, opens October 2^nd through the 4^th at 7:00 PM in the Plano East Theatre Auditorium. Audience seating for this show will be limited. Tickets for the play are $6 for students and $8 for adults and are available at the box office the night of the show.

The Rimers of Eldritch is a play set in a dilapidated mid-western town whose boon days have long since past. The story finds the town in ethical turmoil after a crime against a teenager and murder trial begins. Due to the mature subject matter of this show, some content may not be suitable for children under 13.

The fall season also brings the musical, Footloose to the stage on November 20^th, 21^st, and 22^nd showtime 7:30 PM. Auditions for this show begin October 6^th and 7^th. Auditions are open to all students at Plano East Senior High. This show is recommended for all ages. Tickets for the musical are $8 for students and $10 for adults and are available presale or at the box office the night of the show.
