Overall, 2011 was an alright year for both Sellers and the Buyers in the Lake Ray Hubbard housing market considering the economic state of our Country. Houses tended to stay on the market a bit longer than 2010 and sellers typically recieved less than their asking price ... BUT ... on the positive side, the Housing market saw amazingly low mortgage rates!

Real Estate is local and it's actually Hyper Local ... so with that being said, here's a quick glance of how the different cities fared around Lake Ray Hubbard.

• GARLAND, TX: 2011 saw about 18% less Listings (2,757), about 4.6% fewer Sales (1,666), and Sale Prices were down about 5% with the average price being $108,000.
• ROWLETT, TX: 2011 saw about 16% less Listings (1,237), about 2.5% MORE Sales (760), and Sale Prices were down about 4% with the average price being $146,000.
• ROCKWALL, TX: 2011 saw about 13% less Listings (2,113), about 2% MORE Sales (1,163), and Sale Prices were UP about .2% with the average price being $219,000.

When moving with children to a new city, 1 of the most important things that you need to find is a PEDIATRICIAN! This is something that is best taken care of before actually needing  one.

If you are in the Lake Ray Hubbard area or are thinking of moving to Rowlett, Rockwall or Fate TX, allow me to give you a recommendation for an amazing group of Pediatricians that I use PERSONALLY. Lake Pointe Pediatrics, 6900 Scenic Drive #103, Rowlett, is made up of Dr Pamela Wieland, M.D, F.A.A.P, Dr Dynal London, M.D, F.A.A.P, & Frank Zucconi, CPNP. Not only are they knoweldgable pediatricians but they are also parents and understand the importance of personal care & educating the parents as best as possible.

My son sees Dr Wieland but when she's not available, he's also been seen by Dr London & Frank. They all take such care in making sure that all of my questions have been answered & never rush us out the door! I don't think I've ever met a physician or physician's assistant so thorough & so caring as the ones at Lake Pointe Pediatrics! Along with the amazing 2 Dr's & Physicians Assistant, all the Nurses and Auxillary staff are extreamly friendly and go above & beyond...not to mention they have plenty of stickers and suckers to hand out!

In addition to the outstanding care & attention, Lake Pointe Pediatrics is incredibly flexible and always finds an opening! It's so great that I am able to take my lil'dude in to see someone when he's sick and not have to wait 2-3 days or have to take him to an Ugent Clinic. Not only do they have EXTENDED Office Hours (Mon-Thurs 8:30a-7p / Fri 8:30-5) but they are also open Saturday mornings during the school year! 

If by some chance your child needs to go to a Hospital, Lake Pointe Pediatrics is affiliated with the following: Lake Pointe Medical Center of Rowlett (6800 Scenic Dr, Rowlett), Presbyterian Hospital of Rockwall (3150 E. Farm to Market Rd 3097, Rockwall), & Childrens Medical Center of Dallas (1935 Medical District Dr, Dallas).
