Wagon Wheel Day - Braun Station Elementary School, San Antonio, Texas

When my kids attended Braun Station we ALWAYS volunteered to help with this "old school" school carnival.

When my kids moved on to middle school they STILL insisted on going, I just didn't have to volunteer.

Now that my kids are in high school, they STILLLLL insist on going, and still not have to volunteer, but maybe I will.

Why not give 2-4 hours to an event that gives kids K-12 so much fun, the old fashioned fun?

If you have never visited Texas, it is difficult to describe the full flavor of the state in its entirety. The state of Texas is made up of so many different cultures it is hard to distinguish just what the state’s actual culture is. The pan-ethnic state offers Spanish blends from the early 1800’s, Native American heritage, and culture seeping from the various states around Texas. Also within Texas, the city of San Antonio provides a massive collaboration of cultures and heritage from various peoples, with the very homes and communities offering a different mixture of life and energy.

San Antonio cannot be summed up by its homes, as there are so many different styles found in the large city. As the second largest city in the state, San Antonio features some of the most diverse communities found within one single district, with Bexar County comprised of various different neighborhoods from the high-scale to the simple and cost efficient. One of the higher priced neighborhoods found in San Antonio is Braun Heights, with homes that average between the mid-100,000’s and the upper 300,000’s, with prices reaching a bit higher as well.

Braun Heights offers a superior form of San Antonio living, with ranch land that is offered with magnificent homes atop, and smaller single family homes that still offer a median square foot of 2,785 and a value per square foot of about $81. Homes are also found well in the upper 3,000 square foot range, with a home value median of about $225,000. The community is made up of about 332 homes, featuring only a small fraction of the total San Antonio population.

Living in Braun Heights is an excellent environment, with friendly neighbors that enjoy the finer Texas living, most of which will socialize as a community together for various events and small-town like community projects. There is a small neighborhood association that ensures the community remains in peak condition, with efforts to maintain the beautiful nature of Braun Heights.

As there are several San Antonio communities with rising real estate markets, Braun Heights has been feeling the lower economic influence in the real estate, making the community optimal for great savings on great homes. The schools of the area include Braun Station, Stevenson, and Marshall, with several families within the community creating the family atmosphere many have come to enjoy and embrace as the most peaceful Texas lifestyle.
