Woodthorn is a community in northwest San Antonio located a bit south of Hausman Road. There are about one-hudred-fifty-five (155) platted lots in this 
community. This is an area in San Antonio that has several positive features.
Location
Woodthorn is inside Loop 1604, the major outer loop in San Antonio. And its about two miles from IH-10. Which means except for major drive time you can leave your home in Woodthorn and in about thirty minutes be either in downtown San Antonio, or well on your way to the beach or the hill country.
Location
Location in relation to shopping: LaCantera, The Rim, DeZavala, and even North Star Mall are fairly short commutes from Woodthorn. In addition, the corporate campus locations for Valero Energy, USAA, and the firms off 151 are pretty easy drives too.
Location
The Medical Centers (original off Wurzbach, and the Stone Oak corridor) offer an array of top notch facilities, and medical practicioners.
Location
Need to get to a military base? Camp Bullis, Lackland AFB, Kelly City Base, Randolph AFB, Fort Sam Houston, and Brooke Army Medical Center (BAMC) can all be reached from Woodthorn in less than an hour.
The home I have listed in Woodthorn is a three bedroom, two bath home with a study. It was built in 2002 by Pulte. This is 1,753 square feet of home with a deck off the kitchen on the last street in the subdivision. Reasonably priced at $158,000.
Freshly painted in colors least likely to offend, it is move-in ready. Call me to set up an appointment to see this one.
Woodthorn is in Northside Independent School District's territory. Children in the area attend Carnahan Elementary School, Stinson Middle School, or Brandeis High School.
