Yesterday I was driving around looking at properties in the Sheldon area, when I came across a very interesting place.
It is a RV park, and restaurant/ice-house with a great boat ramp onto the San Jacinto River.
The sun was starting to set, and it was pretty looking across the river over to Crosby. I decided to take a few pictures and write a little blog to show off the place.
If you are looking for a nice place to launch your boat, you might check this place out.
To get there, Take Highway 90 (or even I-10) to Sheldon Road. Drive until Sheldon Road ends. Turn right. You will see this sign on the left hand side of the road, right past a white metal storage building. It was really fixed nice. They have done lots of work to the place. It looked clean and well organized. They have nice hook ups for the RV, and great parking for your boat trailer.
I did not go inside the restaurant as I had just eaten, but from looking inside the window it looked quite nice.
$5 to use the boat ramp or park extra cars for the day. They have a website if you would like to find out more, http://goodtimesmarina.com/
