Smithville Texas has a recycle center that not too many people are aware of. When I went to drop off my recycle items I thought I would take a few pictures to share with you via video media. I presort my recycle materials - Plastics 1 & 2, paper, cans so when I drive in I can just efficiently drop them off. Takes me a couple of minutes and I feel good about keeping the items out of our local landfills.

This weekend was a busy weekend in Smithville. There was an antique and art fair, the Jamboree Parade, and lots of people curious to see what "stars" might be out. There is a movie being filmed in town now and the movie Hope Floats was filmed there, before.
I was in town doing a light cleaning of a historic home I have listedfor the owners who were out of town. While I was driving in I passed by so many of the wonderful historic and vintage homes that are in Smithville whos owners have taken advantage of the beautiful spring weather, landscaping their front yards and adding lots of spring color.
Hope you enjoy these photos!
