The entry to Indian Lakes is located off of FM 153 just a few miles outside of Smithville, approx. 45 minutes from Austin and an hour plus from San Antonio or Houston. The subdivision has a pool, park, fishing dock, boat ramp and a very relaxed atmosphere. There is a mixed bag of housing both site built and manufactured. The Shipp Lake is not large enough for power boats but perfect for manually powered water craft, and it is wonderful to throw a pole in!
