Carlton Woods recently had their Ladies' Member-Guest tournament & we were excited to learn that one of the Overall Champions was our own Gerrie Donovan! Gerrie is a part of our Ladies Golf Association here at Walden on Lake Houston.

There were 32 teams competing to qualify for the first ever Champions Shoot-Out at Carlton Woods. And Gerrie & her partner, Jane Liberti not only made the shoot-out but won the Top Spot! And this was after everything came down to a three-team chip off!

And not only was this an exciting day it was also a photo op. Gerrie & Jane made the cover of the Carlton Woods Magazine - BearTracks. What a beautiful photo - it makes you want to get right on down to Texas & tee it up! Congratulations to Gerrie & her partner Jane.

Carlton Woods is a gorgeous private gated community in The Woodlands, 27 miles North of Houston, and I heard it got hit pretty hard by Hurricane Ike.

They are working very hard to get it back to normal as soon as possible!

There were crews all over cleaning up the trees and roads.
