TOUR THE WOODLANDS ~ VILLAGE OF COLLEGE PARK

The Village of College Park is one the most unique villages of The Woodlands. This village is comprised of three main neighborhoods, Windsor Hills, Harper's Landing and Grogan's Forest. The Village is also the home of the Montgomery County branch of Lone Star College as well as the University Center System.

The Village sits on the far northern border of The Woodlands and has the only section that sits on the east side of Interstate 45. The Village has excellent access to State Highway 242, FM 1488 as well as I-45 thus making this village very accessible for most commuters.

St. Luke's Hospital is located at the southwest corner of I-45 and SH 2422. There is also a great deal of shopping and restaurants scattered throughout the village. Wal-Mart, Garden Ridge (which will re-open as soon as they can after the fire) and Lowe's are some of the big box retail tenants that can be found here.

There are six parks in the village along with a community pool at the Harper's Landing park. These parks are conveniently located throughout the community for easy access to all of the neighborhoods.

Due to the location of the college, there are many wonderful apartment communities along SH 242. New, clean and affordable for all budgets.

Homes range from the low 100's up to the million + in the gorgeous section of Benton Woods. Alden Bridge has a price range for all budgets and needs.

The College Park Village has many important focal points including the St Luke's Medical Center; Lone Star College and University Center; The Woodlands College Park High School; and a variety of retail centers. This focus gives this village the flavor of a "college town" on the northern side of The Woodlands.

Retail shops range from a Wal-Mart SuperCenter plus Garden Ridge, Kohl's, Lowes - to - smaller boutique shops of every kind You will find book stores, coffee shops, fast food, family restaurants, lodging, drug stores, banks and so much more.

For active people over 55, College Park has the age-restricted communities of Windsor Hills and Windsor Lakes. Harpers Landing, The Woodlands is a large family community that is part of College Park located to the east of I-45 and has a community pool, water fun park, recreational parks with playgrounds and playfields.

College Park Drive is also known as State Hwy 242 and travels northwest to FM 1488 and southeast to State Hwy 59 in eastern Montgomery County and Kingwood.
