As I sat down trying to decide on what I would write for my first blog ever, naturally I thought about my real estate career (or should I say the career that I want). Everything that I've learned up to this point the question that comes to mind...do I really have a shot to make this a career?
Let's admit the facts of being drawn to this business: (what drove me)
I was tired of being told what to do and when to do it.
I was tired of giving my input and hard work and not getting ahead.
I was tired of not being compensated properly for my hard work.
Sounds like complaining right? Well that was just it! I don't want to complain! I want to do something great! Once you make up your mind that you want to be a part of greatness; being the cause for greatness; the feeling just wells up inside of you and you feel like you just want to burst!!
Which leads to my question...now that I have the passion and discovered my why (because you have to have a why), what now? See as a new realtor, although not a stranger to the business, how do I harness that desire to guide me through and turn it into a career? Doing the right activity; spending more money after spending so much already on just getting my license; when will it all pay off?
This is what I've come to realize; it is not about the money, whether I spend it or make it, but it is about how I grow. How I give back. What is going to be my contribution to this business. See, it is not about what you get, it's about how much you give. I believe if I keep attacking it with a pure heart and keep this passion for the business, the career will come.
So, back to my original question...Does this new realtor really have a shot? Honestly, I think I do!
Till next time...

Country Meadows is a pleasant neighborhood located off of Zion road immediatly north of Tomball High School in Tomball TX, (a hometown with a heart.) It is approximately 30 to 35 minutes from Houston. It is a small quiet neighborhood with lots of trees and nicely landscaped yards. There are two ways to get in the subdivision so if school is letting out you can go just a little farther east on Zion Rd and take Martens Rd.

The neighborhood was developed in the late 1990's and early 2000's by Royce Homes. With only about 120 homes it is a small subdivision. The homes range in size from 1540 square feet to 3300 square feet with most homes being somewhere in between. Homes sales are currently in the $130,000 to $160,000 range. Typical amenities include 3 to 4 bedrooms, 2 to 2.5 bathrooms, many homes have separate formal areas, the larger homes usually have game rooms, and all homes have 2 car garages.

Country Meadows has a homeowner's association. There are however no subdivision amenities; although there is a vacant lot that may become a park some day. On the plus side the subdivision is NOT in a MUD district. The tax rate is $2.31 per 100 home value. This helps to keep the property taxes fairly reasonable. Being located in Tomball the subdivision has all the Tomball city amenities such as water, trash, sewer and gas.

The subdivision is in the highly acclaimed Tomball ISD. The High School is Tomball, the middle school is Beckendorf and the elementary is Tomball.
It is hard to find this price of a home in the city limits of Tomball so this makes Country Forest a bit of a hidden treasure.

Do you constantly wonder what's in the fridge to cook for dinner? Tired of standing in the kitchen for over an hour to prepare dinner after a long day or just sick of eating fast food? The answer is Easy Made Meals in Tomball.

Vivian and Irene answer the age old question "Whats for dinner?" by providing healthy prepackaged entrees for you to cook at home. They do the shopping, measuring, and chopping. Just defrost and cook, most meals are ready in 30 minutes or less.
Easy Made Meals goal is to allow people to spend less time shopping and planning meals. Allowing you more quality time with family and friends.
I personally credit Easy Made Meals with my weight loss. They helped me serve nutritionally correctly proportioned meals at home. Special dietary needs are not a problem, Vivian and Irene will customize meals to your families preferences.
Believe me, I am no Julia Childs but Easy Made Meals has taken my cooking to new dimensions. My family feels like we have gourmet cooking with favorites like Stuffed Tilapia, New Orleans Style Southern Chicken or Sweet Potato Stuffed Pork Chops.
