Volente, TX

I took some photos of my Magnolia tree today that I thought to share. This is a tree that I didn't know was going to make it or not after the hard freeze past winter. (We don't get hard freezes in Austin/Volente, but once in a blue moon.) As you can see it came back very well with very pretty blooms.

Wish you can smell them as well. Magnolias are one of my favorite flowers...just magnificent flowers.

Bringing up a handsome Titmouse family

You know it's a Spring for sure when the birds are busily feeding their chicks. I was able to get this picture of Titmouse parents diligently bringing grubs for their hungry little chicks. It's wonderful to see nature going about its business no matter what drama is going on in human world.

Here's a photo of a beautiful sunset taken from my back porch.

I glanced out the windows around 6 P.M. and saw lovely pinks,peaches, and oranges filling the western horizon as the sun threw the last of its rays. Although I tried, I couldn't capture all the glorious pinks and oranges completely, but I think the essence is there. It's something poetic about blazing colors before the night covers everything in black and grays.
