This has been a crazy week for Darcy and myself, we have been out taking some photographs. Honestly because I love this area so much, I thought that I would share some of the more interesting photographs that we have taken not just this week but through the years. As you may have noticed this is the background photos for our blogs here on Active Rain.

This is a lonely grave located in Notom, Wayne County, Utah. It is just east of Capitol Reef National Park. It is a beautiful setting to have the end of the trail. This is the reason that I wanted to share it with you all here on the 'Rain!

Cedar City, Not just a beautiful city, but a great lifestyle as well. Here in Cedar City, Utah, we live in one of the most beautiful areas of the United States, we are the gateway to several National Parks and Monuments.
We are nestled against the mountains and enjoy each of the four seasons.
We also enjoy great opportunities to enjoy the outdoors with walking and hiking trails, ATV trails.
The Brian Head Ski Resort isn't far, and we also enjoy a golf course that is set against the red hill for a dramatic and beautiful backdrop.
For those looking for something more, we also enjoy the Utah Shakespearean Festival, a Tony award winning production of the works of William Shakespeare, as well as many other Broadway caliber plays during the summer and fall seasons.
Another festival that coincides with the Shakespearean Festival is the Neil Simon Festival, many of the great plays of this remarkable playwright come to life each summer. For both of these festivals, professional actors come to perform, making these well-done, professional plays.
There is usually one Festival or another going on, making this the Festival City. So come on up and enjoy this Festival City known as Cedar City, Utah. Stay a day or a lifetime, you will enjoy yourself!

Yesterday was our monthly Iron County Realtors Board Tour and luncheon. It was a good luncheon, next years officers on the Board of Directors were installed and the ones that were lame ducks were relieved for a lack of a better word, of their duties. Ron Adams has served as the President of the Board of Realtors in Iron County for the past year has done a very good job as have the outgoing directors.
It will be interesting to see what the new President and Board Members will focus on. I know that we're in good hands. The yearly awards were also given out, Darcy won the Board's Special Service Award. She is the Director over the Multiple Listing Service and puts in a lot of time trying to make things go smoothly with our Multiple Listing Service.
The worst part of this was I have known that she was receiving this award for over 3 weeks, the other members of the Board asked me for a brief biography of Darcy, for the award. If you think it's easy to keep a secret from your spouse for several weeks, try keeping it from your spouse who is also your business partner and your main memory reminder! I did my task, she was completely surprised! It was fun watching her become embarrassed as she realized that they were talking about her.
It is an award that she fully deserves, she really does spend more than 25 hours a week trying to fix different issues with the Multiple Listing Service as well as complaints that agents aren't entering listings correctly according to the rules of the Multiple Listing Service. There are weeks when I think that she should be on salary for all the time that she puts into it.
Our office also had the Top Agent award Winner, Joyce Sherratt, which was a good thing. She really does deserve that honor, she is such a great example of what a Realtor should be, she is battling Cancer, yet I have never seen her when she wasn't smiling and happy to see you. What an unbelievably nice person, as well as being a great Realtor.
I just wished to add my little voice of congratulations to all of the New and Old Board Members, as well as the award winners!
