About Salt Lake City's Cottonwood Heights

The last few energy audits of community rec or recreational centers in Salt Lake City unveiled a similar problem. The exit doors with panic hardware all showed signs of air infiltration around the door frames. These frames were never sealed properly when installed. The other common problem was with the weather stripping around the top, bottom and sides of these exit doors. The cold air leaking inside is depicted as "blue" in the infrared photos.

I spotted this Hornets nest yesterday afternoon while mountain biking near Snake Creek Canyon in Midway Utah after sitting model homes at Dutch Field Cottages in Midway. The temperature couldn't be more perfect and the lease are peaking, it was a perfect day to bike or hike after a days work.

We discovered last summer that my 20 year old son is deathly allergic to hornets, bees, wasps. I'm glad he wasn't with me. We now have an epie pen with us where ever we go.

Go out and enjoy the show . Picture taken with my Blackberry, sometimes they look great and sometimes ok depending on light. My blackberry is always with me so it works.

Beautiful Fall in Utah

The leaves are starting to change and the nights cool, fall in Utah is beautiful and unpredictable. We can have hot days cool nights one day and the next day can be cold, cold , cold...right now it's perfect!

Usually we will stay fairly warm or have warm days on and off so that our gardens can grow a bit longer, we can hike, barbeque, camp and enjoy the beautiful of clear skies and colorful leaves before the snow flies!
