I just spent three lovely days 3 hours (by car) north of Vegas at Zion National Park. It would have been upgraded from lovely to glorious *if* I wasn't a tent camper and the low temp was a little warmer than 45 degrees this morning!
Hey at least I got my favorite bike ride in on Saturday (from our campground just south of Zion NP entrance) to the Temple of Sinawava. I got my ice cream treat for not complaining at the lodge on the way back (here is a map)
This was the view of the Virgin River from the front of our tent:
With a view like that I will not complain! God Bless all of our soldiers who have died for our country and let freedom ring from sea to shining sea!

Last Sunday I spent the afternoon hiking around one of the most beautiful parks in Southern Utah, and here is one of my favorite photos at the top of the page.
It's interesting how when you take photograph just the right amount of light can totally change the outlook of the photograph. These two photographs were taken right next to each other, one with direct sunlight shining into the lens of the camera and one with the sun directly behind the rock formations.

I spent around 3 hours hiking around Zion National Park Sunday 1-23-2011 taking photographs & videos. Zion National Park is one of the most beautiful parks in Utah located around 30 minutes south of St George, and less than 3 hours from Las Vegas Nevada.
I shot around 200 photographs and 30 minutes of video that I will be sharing a few days next week, so stay tuned!
