Alexandria VA Short Sale Approved And Sold In Island Creek

Alexandria VA short sale listing agent Tamara Inzunza has helped another homeowner avoid foreclosure with a short sale. This home in Island Creek was a Bank of America short sale, and closed within a week of receiving approval.
In my opinion, this was truly a win-win. We were able to help the owners, and the buyer was a first-time homebuyer who was very excited about owning his own home.
While short sales do require patience, this short sale was approved and closed in under 90 days.
The cooperating buyer agent also played an exceptional role in this transaction. The buyer had the advantage of working with a knowledgeable lender and closing took place just eight days after the short sale approval letter was received. The buyer was already approved for his loan, and everything was processed expeditiously. Usually with short sales, buyers feel they have to 'hurry up and wait'. They hurry up and submit their contract, and then wait weeks or months for the bank to approve the sale. In this case, the buyer didn't wait the usual 30 days to close (after the approval), but worked with a competent team of professionals to get things moving so that he could move in as soon as possible.
