Do you think I could have a logo, a motto or a google promotion that announces to the world...."I only work with fun people??!!" Do you think that would go over well?? I mean I get it - I really, truly, sincerely do. Buying a house can be stressful. There are so many questions, unknowns and variables. But really, in the end isn't it mostly a privilege and a joy to enter the world of home ownership? Isn't it a wonderful milestone like getting married or having a child or getting a promotion? I think so - in fact I know so. Soooooo, why the mug shot? Why the down and out disappointment? Why dear clients and friends do you walk through the door of a potential home and act like you have entered a funeral parlor? All right - the kitchen has a wallpaper sailboat border, the backsplash features a peacock front and center and the downstairs bathroom has a pink commode but really can't you find your sense of humor and see past these quick easy fixes on a potentially fantastic home?? Or just smile and say WOWZA - I can't live with that pink toilet, let's move on. And on we would go hand in hand into the sunset until we find the perfect fit. It's fun!!! Have a good time! Enjoy the process! See the good, the bad and the ugly and smile all the way to the settlement table. This is supposed to be a joyride not a wake! Just a friendly reminder from your Alexandria Virginia specialist to have a good time. :)

The Potomac River runs along the banks of Alexandria just 2 miles away with the eastern portion of the neighborhood along a small inlet of the Potomac. There are a number of national parks nearby, perfect for an outing or a day on the river. The homes in the Stratford Landing neighborhood are of traditional and colonial style, some along the waterfront. Stratford Landing is an extremely popular subdivision in the Mount Vernon section of Fairfax County. As you travel south on the George Washington Parkway to Mount Vernon, the entrance to Stratford Landing is the last exit on the Parkway at Little Hunting Creek.
One of the attractions is that many different builders are represented in both the style, size and type of home. There isa community membership pool that has good community support for their swim team. Fort Hunt Park is just a few minutes away.
Also, the bike/jogging trail along the Potomac River and the George Washington Memorial Parkway is well used by the homeowners. Traffic patterns on the Parkway have not changed dramatically over the past two decades facilitating inbound travel during the rush hour. It is also about 15 minutes from Fort Belvoir.
Home prices range from $500,000 to $700,000.
