About Arlington's Lyon Village

Lyon Village is an historic neighborhood in Arlington that is known for its tree-lined streets, older homes (many were built in the 1920s and 1930s) that contain a mixture of eclectic architecture.

The neighborhood sits between Lee Highway (North), Wilson Boulevard (South), Veitch Street (East) and Kirkwood Road (West) and is considered an “urban village,” next to or part of the Clarendon neighborhood, one of Arlington 's fastest-growing restaurant and retail areas. To the north there is a shopping complex along Lee Hwy that houses the Italian Store, a bike store, Giant Grocery Store and a CVS among other store in the complex. There is also an orange-line metro station in Clarendon, making transportation easy. There is some parkland in the Lyon Village neighborhood.

Lyon Village has an active Citizens Association.

I am a Coldwell Banker Agent in the Arlington office and will be mainly blogging about Arlington and it's neighborhoods.

A historic neighborhood of Arlington, Lyon Village, is located near Clarendon. Bordered by Lee Highway, Wilson Blvd, Veitch and Kirkwood Roads, Lyon Village is known for it's suburban feel of tree-lined streets and 1920s and 1930s mix of single family homes. The neighborhood is also just a few blocks from both Clarendon and Courthouse metro stations.

The community has it's own park, located at 1800 N. Highland St. The park has a basketball court, tennis courts, picnic tables, playground, and a spray park in the summertime for kids.

Prices in this area of Arlington have generally been higher than neighboring Lyon Park. But there are have been several new houses added to the neighborhood in recent years.
