About Centreville's Bull Run Shooting Center

I thought the shoppers were supposed to be out in drives today.

I went to the gym for a 9:30 a.m. workout and my trainer said that Wal-Marts had the shotgun shells that I like on sale for $18 per 100 rounds. Normal price is $22.87 per 100 shells.

The sale was supposed to be until 11:00 a.m I was at the Wal-Mart in Leesburg at 9:45 a.m.

WHERE WERE ALL THE CROWDS??
Not in Leesburg Virginia

I would estimate that the number of shoppers in the Leesburg Wal-Mart was that of a normal Saturday. More than a normal Friday, but not crowded.

Check-out took no time with one person in line ahead of me.

The trap range, The Bull Run Shooting Range, on the other hand was very busy, like a busy Saturday.

Real estate brokers and agents enjoy many sports and activities. In fact, yesterday I was joined with a loan officer, Tim Tyner with NFCU, who is also a shooter. A very good shooter. Shooting sports have been my hobby for many, many years. Good exercise and great fun.

COME ON OUT!!! The weather's fine. For those of us who shoot all summer, we welcome these cooler days and plan to take advantage of the comfortable weather. No more 100 degree days. Yesterday was in the low 80s and it was wonderful. Your intrepid Trap Shooter, me, got in 250 trap birds.

1. On the Trap Range at Bull Run.

3. On the Skeet Range at Isaac Walton.
4. Squad of youngsters at Bull Run.

Directions: To reach Bull Run Public Shooting Center, take I-66 to Exit 52 (Route 29) at Centreville, drive 2 miles south on route 29, turn left onto Bull Run Post Office Road and follow the signs to Bull Run Regional Park and Bull Run Shooting Center.
The club has shotguns for rent and sells shotgun shells. Just bring yourself (and family) and get ready for some fun. See location on the map below in the far west corner of Fairfax County, in Centreville (just a few short miles from Manassas, VA).

BOY SCOUTS AT BULL RUN TRAP RANGE IN CENTREVILLE VIRGINIA - FUN FOR ALL

I usually manage to get to the Bull Run Trap and Skeet Range in Centreville on Saturday. That's alsso the day groups of Boy Scouts, 4 H and other youth organizations are most likely to schedule shooting events for their members.

WHAT FUN TO WATCH the young shooters, some for the first time out, enjoy a round of TRAP. They always enjoy their trap shooting adventure. Often there are scouts at the range qualifying for a shooting badge. Today was an introduction to shooting for most.

THE SCOUTS ENJOYED THEIR DAY ON THE RANGE - - SO WILL YOU!

The scouts shoot in five man squads, 5 shots from each station, 25 shots in all.

Experienced Trappers manage the field for safety. Bull Run has a staff of very experienced and patient Trappers who help the scouts through their game. They have equipment, guns, eye protection and ear protection (required) for all shooters who do not have their own. Safety first!

RIGHT: Young shooter about 6 years old with Mom close by. He shot one bird and was very pleased. The young shooter was shooting a .410 shotgun which is the smallest bore and shooting even one bird with that shotgun is not easy.

Ladies, Gentleman, Youths, all enjoy the "Learn to shoot" classes at Bull Run.

SHOOTING SKILL. The instructors are first and foremost experienced shooters. They are also thoughtful and patient shooting instructors.

FIREARM SAFETY. The emphasis is on SAFETY and the staff at the Bull Run Skeet and Trap range does not compromise on Safety. The range managers are always careful to monitor the shooters to make sure that eye and ear protection is used at all times. They also make sure that beginners have an opportunity to attend a "Learn to Shoot" class before enjoying any of the shooting games offerd at the range; Skeet, Trap, 5 Stand, Wobble and Sporting Clays.

The range has shotguns for rent and ear and eye protection available.

COME ON OUT for some shooting fun at the Bull Run PUBLIC Shooting Range in Centerville, Virginia.

You just might run into me there. When I'm not at my computer or out showing homes to a home buyers, I'm likely to be at the range enjoying a few rounds of Skeet or Trap.

BULL RUN SHOOTING CENTER, VA. A GREAT DAY FOR SHOOTING and we meet the most interesting folks.

This fantastic 1964 Corvette is pristine. It's a pleasure to see this popular vehicle on the road. Fully licensed and absolutely beautiful. It appears to have about 50 layers of paint. The chrome sparkles and the owner is justifiably proud and glad to share these photos.

Which is more interesting, meeting a new shooter or meeting his pristine 1964 Corvetts??
