A classic Christmas Story with the kids

Charlottesville Real Estate - Your Trusted Broker Charles McDonald: Real Estate Agent in Charlottesville, VA

Tonight was Movie Night at our house and we all watched a Classic Christmas Story by Charles Shultz.... As a child I can remember every year watching this classic. We would look forward to it (there were no VCR's or DVD's) so we had to look at a TV guide...

Fast forward 40 years and I am watching the same show with my kids!

Charlie and Linus have the same trouble (but I have to watch it)...

They go out to find a perfect Christmas Tree for the play they are putting on and everyone wants one made of fake shiny tree.

Well, in his wisdom, Charlie Brown finds a little tree that "needs a home"

Linus goes along with it every year... lol

In the end the whole gang gets together and decorates the tree and everything turns out just fine.

They have a wonderful Christmas and I hope that you do too!!!

It is a simple story but I find that (with most classic's) I want to watch it over and over every year!

Merry Christmas to all and to all a good night!

Final Fall Colors in Charlottesville

Charlottesville Fall Colors

My family and I took a drive last week to see some good friends/clients who purchased 20+ acres in Albemarle County. The property is fantastic and they are doing some work on it that is amazing... (I will save that for another post).

On the way I took a few photos of the final fall colors in Charlottesville Virginia.

Charlottesville Fall Colors

This photo (above) I actually took out the window of our vehicle as my wife was driving down the road.

It is just amazing to me the fantastic colors we enjoy in our area. This Fall may have been the best in several years!

I hope you enjoyed this little peek at the county side in Virginia!

Charlottesville - after the storm

We had a few days of winter weather and yesterday I posted: I caught a rainbow in Charlottesville

This photo is right out my home office window after the storm... I took the photo right through the glass of the window and I am pleased with the results:

Now that the leaves have fallen I enjoy Blue Ridge views from my office.

Makes me want to go for a hike in the hills today!

Enjoy...
