Canterbury Hills is one of Charlottesville, Virginia's more established neighborhoods, located just a moment west of Barracks Road Shopping Center, and no more than 2 or 3 miles from the University of Virginia and Downtown Charlottesville.
Canterbury Hills was developed in the 1960s, with houses built through the 1970s; there are approximately 150 homes. The 29/250 Bypass, which was constructed around the same time as the Canterbury Hills neighborhood, runs along the eastern edge of the community.
The Canterbury Hills neighborhood consists of brick and frame one- and two-story homes, and supports a wide price range. It’s a very pleasant, diverse community with large lots and walk-able streets. The variable price structure, along with the convenient location just a few minutes away from the University of Virginia and Downtown Charlottesville, make it a very attractive option for a wide range of residents. JAG School, at the University of Virginia Law School, candidates have long considered Canterbury Hills as a good opportunity during their stay here in Charlottesville.
