Saturday this weekend past was a perfect day to go out for a drive along Route 29 South and have a light breakfast at one of my favorite country dinners.  The Town and Country Restaurant in Warrenton VA!  It is easy to get to all you have to do is stay on Route 29 South and it's on your left after you go through Haymarket VA and enter Fauquier County VA. The restaurant as you can see on the map below is a midpoint between Gainesville and Warrenton, in New Baltimore.  The prices are right, the food is good, there is a breakfast buffet, a pot of coffee for the table,  and you feel like you are a million miles away from DC in another age and time.  I just love retro, and this is priceless!  It is the perfect way to start a Saturday when you plan to go out for a country drive and tour the historic Battlefields and walking paths nearby.

Women of Wonder proudly presents "SEASON of GIVING" 23rd Annual Warrenton Christmas Parade & Community Drive to Benefit the Fauquier Food Distribution Coalition on Sunday, Dec. 20th at 2p.m.

COMMUNITY FOOD DRIVE

In line with the parade theme of "Season of Giving", the Women of Wonder has organized a community food drive. We will be collecting non-perishable food items and voluntary cash donations along the parade route. These items will support the Fauquier Food Distribution Coalition's efforts to assist those in need within our community. They will have elves walking along the parade route with big red full length Christmas stockings collecting voluntary cash donations, and they will have a truck near the Grand Stand that will serve as a collection point for food items.
