DIY landlords who may only have a few rental properties have often asked to inspect their NEW rental prospects' current home. This LAST step in the process has been around for decades.

Many are making an appointment to come and view their prospects' current homes and this advance notice negates the idea that they need to see how the prospects keep their homes and live their lives "normally".

As for inspecting their prior residence BEFORE I agree to rent to them, I think this is over-kill and shows that the DIY landlord is unsure of their renting process.

When asked about Lake Monticello, people will likely mention that a 350 acre lake is at the heart of the neighborhood, or that it is a gated community, or that it is an affordable place to live.
