SOLD: Morris FarmSingle Family Home in Gainesville

This Chevy Chase floor plan by Craftmark, built in 2007 hit the market as a resale on April 23, 2011. It was a healthy sale, meaning the home owners had equity in the home. They would have loved to have stayed in it, but needed to sell due to a military relocation.
The home was in great shape and offered any impatient buyer a great alternative to building new construction in Morris Farm and having to wait six months for it. The kitchen was decked out with granite counters and loads of cabinet space. Hardwood floors graced the study (complete with built in bookshelves), foyer, staircase, kitchen and breakfast area.
There was a fantastic Master Suite upstairs with his/hers walk-in closets, a sitting room and a luxury bathroom. There were even four other bedrooms and two more full bathrooms on the bedroom level. The basement was fully finished with a large recreation area, two finished dens and yet another full bathroom.
Perhaps the best feature of this home, besides the kitchen, was the sunken family room with two walls of windows that even made it bright on a cloudy day. The buyer of this home expressed today that his family may have a hard time filling the family room up with furniture because of the sheer size of the room.
The Buyer wrote their offer on April 29th and settled June 7th. The list price of the home was $499,000, but it sold for $483,000. There Sellers didn't have to pay any closing cost assistance.
If you are looking to sell your Gainesville, Bristow or Haymarket home give me a call. With the extensive online marketing I provide, your home will get attention that other listings don't. I also specialize in Short Sales, for home owners who are upside down in their mortgage.
