About Hampton's Elizabeth Lakes

Elizabeth Lake Estates is a community of 320 homes in the Fox Hill area of Hampton, Virginia. It is located on the North end of the Hampton River between Fox Hill and Woodland Roads. The community has developed and grown over a 21 year span beginning in 1962 and ending with the completion of the last home in 1983. It has the distinction of being the first neighborhood to form a civic association in Virginia. The neighborhood is very family friendly and features many open areas and two pools, a 25 meter pool and a diving pool, for members. Many events are held in the neighborhood throughout the year including an Easter egg hunt by the lake and a 4th of July parade through the neighborhood. Many of the homes in the community are waterfront and many have water views of the Hampton River and the "lake". The river and lake are both tidal and navigable and are a great place to enjoy water-sports and fishing. Elizabeth Lake Estates is a well established
