Wondering why I am this now? Well, if you are anything like me you may have some treasures hidden away amongst all your posts.

If you have ever looked back through them you may find one here or there that you really wish you had posted. This is one of mine. In fact, I am sure I thought I had posted it.

After all, it gives many that wonder about life around Lake Anna an opportunity to see one of the activities from one of the many, many groups that make my life a happy one.

Yes, it is well past the Christmas season but the happiness instilled in me from the times spent with friends lasts much longer and so I am posting this tribute to my fellow members of the Lake Anna Piecemakers.

Lake Anna Piecemakers began their holiday celebrations with their annual holiday luncheon. This year it was held at the home of Linda Bullis. Linda's home was decorated from top to bottom with Christmas decorations. The huge tree in the Great Room was filled with ornaments made by Linda over the past 44 years.

As 25 members gathered to exchange gifts (thieves' exchange) and to dine together they also enjoyed the holiday atmosphere.

Fortunately Santa and Mrs. Claus found time in their busy schedule to join us and were they ever happy they did...once they got a good look at all of the delicious food members had prepared.

A few of the members brought, or wore, projects that they are working on or have recently completed.

It is very, very seldom that we have this much snow at Lake Anna so it seemed like the perfect time to go out to take some pictures. As I had no plans of venturing very far from home most of the pictures are of home. You will also get an idea of my neighborhood. We live in the country so we do not really have a "neighborhood". That's OK. We have neighbors and that's what counts.

There are so many great places around the lake, some neighborhoods and other areas that are called non-subdivision. Whereever you are fortunate to have a home will become your favorite spot. Buyers often ask me where the best places are at Lake Anna and that is what I always say...wherever you find your spot...that's the best place of all.
