Tropical Storm Lee has finally left the DC and Northern Virginia area. This morning I went out to try and take a walk at Hidden Pond Nature Center in Springfield VA. I found washed out crossings over Pohick Creek and the turtles among the fallen branches drying out from all the rain.

Keene Mill Village is a townhouse development just off Old Keene Mill Road at the western edge of Springfield. Burke Lake County Park lies to the west. Nearby Rolling Road leads north to Burke and Fairfax. The homes inside Keene Mill Village were built in the early 80s and are of good construction, and the majority of them have basements.
Keene Mill Village is bounded on the north by Burke Station Park, the east by Huntsman Boulevard, the south by Sydenstricker Road, and the west by Lee Chapel Road.
