About Virginia Beach's Glenwood

I was out for my bike ride this morning in Glenwood and ran across this strange sight. Standing on a corner I looked one way down the street and saw the vultures and the other was the man walking his dog. Such a strange world we live in. Didn't get close enough to see what the vultures were eating.

I went out this morning to enjoy the fresh air in Virginia Beach and it was snowing at about 60 degrees. You see the Bradford Pear trees are in full bloom and they are very pretty unless your car is under them. It was snowing little Bradford Pear petals everywhere down our street in Glenwood.

What milestones are in your life? I recently went over 200,000 points on Active Rain. I will be 55 in a few short days. I just bought a new DROID and it is great. I lived in the same house in Virginia Beach in Glenwood for over 10 years. My car just went over 70,000 miles. But the biggest milestone is 36 YEARS of marriage. WOW can you believe it? I certainly can't. Well on my way to the next 36.

This is what I woke up to the other morning in my backyard in Glenwood on the golf course. I didn't know what they were doing until I zoomed in. There were hunting nuts. The black birds can't open them with their beaks so they get on a limb and crack it between their beaks.

I was out walking again by my favorite canal in Glenwood when I took this picture of some birds in a tree. Just a few steps later I took this picture of a dew drop on a limb. All without changing a lens or a setting. As I was looking at the dew drop at home for this post I said to myself that there is something inside and there was. I put the picture in Adobe Photo Shop Elements and blew it up and turned it over. Inside the dew drop was the sign to my neighborhood, Glenwood. I wondered where it had disappeared to. Some people say you can't blow up pictures from cameras with small sensors but what do I know. I just love my Panasonic DMC FZ 18 camera.
