With such windy conditions on 19 February, 2011, this was a dangerous situation. The fire traveled from behind Long Creek Cove Condos, east to Maple Street, then south toward the east end of Marina Shores boat docks.
This has happened before but this time the blaze seemed quite substantial.

Those Pines are approx. 20-25 feet tall.

Fortunately the wind blew the best possible direction to avoid our homes. The VBFD responded quickly and got the job done. Saw my old friend Van Rutherford in the middle of the action. Much thanks to Van and his fellow firemen.

Tyson Bradley
You know, it's one thing to brag on yourself, your accomplishments, your car, your house, your listings, your sales, ect...(ad nauseam). Today, however, I felt I should introduce you to one of my close personal friends, Tyson K. Bradley - Team Lead of The Bradley Team at Keller Williams Hilltop in Virginia Beach, Virginia.
Years ago, I met Tyson while living in Northern Virginia. His character and charisma were infectious; and, as a mortgage lender with BB&T Bank at the time, Tyson was one of the largest influential persons to persuade me to consider a career in Real Estate. Later I would discover that his talent and ability caused him to become one of the top Realtors in Virginia Beach with several millions of dollars in production.
It would only be about a year later that I took the plunge and moved to Virginia Beach myself. And who was my Real Estate Professional who helped us purchase our home? You bet! Tyson proved to be a knowledgeable asset who always kept the needs of me and my wife in mind while delivering homes that best suited our needs and our pocket. Just about a month later, we were moving into our 2,300 square foot home only 10 minutes away from the private local beach, Sandbridge Beach, and 10 minutes away from the Ocean Front. I have a new camera, Panasonic DMC FZ 100) for xmas but couldn't wait to open it. It is an upgrade to my FZ 18 but has a new CMOS sensor. The main thing this sensor does over a CCD type is that it allows for auto focusing during burst modes. The camera can take 11 FPS at a 14 mpeg size. Quite a feat. The other big item especially for me is that now I can mount an aux flash on the camera. This is important because my add on wide angle lens interfered with the camera flash and left a big shadow. I am not sure it takes any better pictures then my FZ 18 but I will find out. It also has a 25 mm lens that goes out to 600 mm. Here are a few pictures taken with the camera.
Keep in mind these were taken without changing the lens on the camera. My big thing with the camera is that if you can't see it you can't take a picture of it. The shot of the lady with the dogs was taken across the lake un the first picture. The Honey Bee Golf Course in Virginia Beach is even pretty in the snow.

With inventory and days-on-market basically unchanged and the Market Action Index decreasing, the market is not sending strong directional signal for the near-term outlook. The Market Action Index has been trending lower for several weeks while prices have remained relatively stable. If inventory continues to grow relative to demand however, it is likely that we will see downward pressure on pricing. We continue to see prices in this zip code bouncing around this plateau. Look for a persistent up-shift in the Market Action Index before we see prices move from these levels.
Buyers and sellers should consult a Realtor for specific market updates in reference to your subdivision. A CMA (Current Market Analysis) should be done prior to putting a listing on the market or making and receiving offers.
