My daugher got some great news today. She had applied to get into a nursing program in Williamsburg. If she didn't get into this program she would have to apply for the program that would start next September which is at the campus in Hampton. The program is five semesters long and she would have to commute for two and a half years. She has been working diligently to get her prerequisites. This particular program only allows a certain number of students and she had been really discouraged by the counselors at the school saying that she probably would not get into the program this year.

A few weeks ago she received a letter notifying her that she was the second alternate for the program in Williamsburg. This afternoon while I was downstairs decorating the house for Christmas when I heard her answer her cell phone and say, "That is awesome." When she got off the phone she was ecstatic. Now her dream of becoming a nurse is within sight! I have no doubt that she will be a great nurse because she was so attentive to me after my back surgery.

I am so thankful. What a wonderful Christmas present God gave us by opening the way for her to get into the program here!
