Yesterday my husband was at Quantico National Cemetery visiting the gravesites of several friends who have passed away. They are not men he served with in WWII, but men and women he and I have known while performing community service since we moved to the area. Like most veterans they were the type of people who felt a deep love of country and community continuing to contribute for years after serving our country in all branches of our armed forces.

While there he took photos for a brief slide show he entitled

Tobacco and Virginia have a relationship as far back as 17th century Jamestown.  Many of our early patriots were tobacco plantation owners.

Until recently, tobacco was Virginia's primary crop.

As of December 1, 2009 smoking will be banned in all Virginia restaurants unless the restaurant maintains a fully enclosed room with a separate ventilation system
