Rural Vermont-Vermont Flood Program in Chester Vermont, this here is a benefit program event which is being held to help folks, and for folks to enjoy attending.
This is the Third Annual Storytelling Benefit, After the Flood, Stories of Heart and Hope. The program is being held on Sunday the 20th of November 2011 at the Songyard, which is located at 295 Main Street in Chester, Vermont. Rural Vermont will once again be partnering with Master Storyteller Annie Hawkins for this program.
Rural Vermont-Vermont Flood Program in Chester Vermont, this here program event will be featuring a series of tales from past generations and distant cultures which speak to the resolve, compassion and valor displayed by Vermonters in the aftermath of the floods. The program will begin at 7:00 P.M.
Admission to the program is done on a sliding scale from $5.00 to $10.00, the proceeds from the door fee will benefit Rural Vermont, and the organization’s work to secure economic justice for Vermont’s Farmers. In support and solidarity with the farmers impacted by Tropical Storm Irene, the event will also raise funds for Farmer Flood Relief through tee shirt sales and free will donations. A tee shirt designed by Springfield artist Jamie Townsend will be available for purchase for $20.00, and a Farm Flood Relief donation bucket will be passed. All proceeds and relief donations will benefit the Vermont Community Foundation’s Farm Disaster Relief Fund.
Rural Vermont-Vermont Flood Program in Chester Vermont, following the one-hour performance, folks will be able to stay for a reception with homemade refreshments and mingling.
