The interior finish of a swimming pool is rarely perfect and sure don't usely remain so.

In particularly the swimming pools with colored plasters, and certainly they don't if the chemical balance of the water has not been properly maintained, over time. Calcium and other minerals sure have a tendency to eat through the material and mar the finish. This is also equally true of swimming pool tiles, on which mineral scaling sure is not uncommon but can also be difficult to remove. Sometimes even the harshest adrasives can not remove some of the scaling, which sometimes has to be removed using bead-blasting, which will in turn reduce the luster of the tiles. Such imperfections are only a cosmetic significance. Just like the decks around the swimming pool tends to develop cracks that are most times are only a cosmetic significance. The commonest are usely small, and are often described as being curing fractures. Some will contour the outline of the swimmimng poolor even the structural wall of the swimming pool, meets the surrounding soil. But most times these have little structural significane. Then you have the cracks that are larger and have resulted from seismic motion, or from the ground settling due to poorly compacted soil, or the presence of expansive soil, which can very will be equally destructive, but this should always be confirmed by a geo-structural engineer. Now any ceacks in the shell of the swimming pool should always be dey tested or evaluated by a specialist.
