Picking Bones with ActiveRain

Seen that this will be post 436, and at the time of writing this post. I have 274,303 points, I would say that I'm very active in the ActiveRain community.

I'll start this here post out by explaining, why I did not make it a members only post.

Last year, I asked a good friend here in the ActiveRain community. Why they had not made a post they had written members only. Well I was told it was because the public, could very will take that as being you have something to hide from them. And when folks think you are hiding things from them, how can you ask or even expect them to trust you. Will I gave that some thought. My friend is 100% right. I want Y'all to know this good friend, does not only blog in this community. But has also setup, blogging community's on the net.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Okay now to get this here ActiveRain- I Sure Do have a Bone to pick with You! post underway.

The first area to cover with you ActiveRain, I would not have even had to write this post. If Y'all had only taken the time to get back to my contact e-mails to ya. But Y'all saw fit to turn your back to the issue's.

Some very important Widgets have been taken from my blogging post pages. My Blog Log, RE411, and COPYSCAPE. Then the other day, I went to add a Twitter widget to my sit, will low and behold it does not show up. Seen that other members have these widgets on their blogs still. The only thing that I think about all this, is Y'all have blacked me from being able to have Widgets on my Blog.

Seen that I pay COPYSCAPE to protect my post content, I sure do have to be up front with Y'all. It really tee's me off about it not being on the right side of my blog site.

Seen that My Blog Log Widget is longer on my page, when ever I visit and leave other member of ActiveRain a comment. That are also members of My Blog Log, my photo does not show on their Widget.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

Now for one that affects all ActiveRain members in the community!

This part does not have anything to do with, how or why a posts get Featured by ActiveRain. Or why it seem's the same members are Featured over and over.

A bit ago Y'all took away the ability of our posts to move back to the top in group's they are posted in. When folks would leave a comment on them. I sure do not feel that was right of Y'all to do.

I read a post written, asking about this. One of the so called ActiveRain community builder's, left a comment. Saying it was because some member's, thought it was not fare to their post's. That others were only socializing with one another. To only keep their friends posts at the top of the groups. So Y'all put a stop to our post's going back to the top, when someone would leave a comment on them.

Will I have to ask, now isn't that what is really going on with the Featured post's on the ActiveRain main page, that comes up when folks first enter the community?

So if it's okay for the Featured post's to move back to the top after someone leaves a comment, why can't the rest of us have the something for our post's in the groups they are posted in?

I do know this post is a Hot Potato, but I had to write it! Have been thinking about it for a bit. I'm just not the kind to lay down, and play dead.

Will ActiveRain these are two of the Bone's that I have to pick with You!

Why not do something that will help, keep your home in the Buyer's thoughts. And keep them talking about your home.

One way you could do this, is by having a unusual mailbox. With it's very own special personality. What do you think?

Now have you ever took a walk through your own or a nearby neighborhood and seen mailboxes, that seem to just say Howdy there I'm special! You'll be sure to remember me.

What are you doing?

What do you think your doing?

While most of the mailboxes you came along were the traditional tunnel-shaped mailboxes in an array of colors. Now think was there any that was so unusual, you just could not stop thinking and thinking about.Just maybe you came along one that looked like a house.

Or maybe one like this

folks sure would not forget this one. Now could you?

You sure can have fun coming up with a personalized mailbox. And it can really add a whole punch of drama to the landscape of your home.

Now what about this little guy?

You can transform just about any mailbox into a reflection of your personality with just a bit of thought. Start the process by studying your landscape. Is there a lot of flowers? You just may want to think about creating a flowery mailbox. Or is it more rustic? Then perhaps a mailbox made of cedar would do the trick for you. Is your landscape full of birdhouses and birdbaths? Then you just may want to look around for a birdhouse mailbox, or you could even add some bird decals to the sides of your existing mailbox.

Once you have gotten a feel for the mailbox that you would like to have, you can start shopping for the supplies. Now depending just what you have in mind, you may just need a quart of paint and a few decals or a new one altogether. Make sure that you hit all the local shops and even browse the net. You just never know what you may come along.

After you have redesigned or replaced your mailbox, take some time to look at the area around your special mailbox. Could the area use some sprucing up?

Would some new house letters and or numbers could really jazz up the space? Maybe a fresh coat of paint on your front door?

What would the addition of flowers and grasses do for a mailbox on a post near the street?

Remember that your mailbox does not have to be boring.

Lets talk a little bit about when work with Mold Damage, the Doe's and Don't of it

Hello this is Mr. Mold, my family and I are here to, live with you and your family!

First off it's best to use a common sense approach to all mold problems. And prevention is always the best cure, and fast action prevents mold from doing damage to your home. And to call a professional company that is certified in mold restoration.

Do

Act quickly to prevent mold growth.

Find and repair the source of the moisture.

Start drying all wet areas just as soon as possible.

Don't

Leave wet fabrics in place. (Dry them as soon as possible)

Please do not try sanding mold off anything, all that will do. Is send the mold spores in to the air, and through out your home.

Hidden Mold

The Mold family really enjoy's, playing hide and seek. Your it!

In some cases, mold growth in your home may not be in an obvious place. It's very possible that mold could very will be growing on hidden sufaces, such as the back side of the dry wall, wallpaper, or even paneling, the top of ceiling tiles, the underside of carpets and pads. Other possible locations of hidden mold can very will include walls behind furniture, condensate drain pans, inside air handling units, porous thermal or acoustic liners inside ductwork, or roof materials. Dry wall with vinyl wallpaper over it or even wood paneling, can act as a vapor barrier, trapping moisture underneath the surface and thereby providing a moist evironment for mold to grow.

When the home you want to buy, has a Crawl Space. It's very important to have it Inspected.

As there are numerous problems which can occur in the Crawl Space of a home. Homes with crawl spaces are not always older home, many homes that are built today have only a Crawl Space under them. It sure is not uncommon to find leaking drain lines or a rotted flooring from a bathroom that has had a leak, that can often be accompanied by improper repairs. I have been in Crawl Spaces, and found the structure has been improperly supported by concrete blcoks laid in the wrong direction. Blocks are only structural with the open cells in a vertical direction. And I've found untreated wood in direct contact with the earth. I have also often found open air conditioning duct lines in the past, and even exposed wiring and if there is proper drainage sure is always a big concern in Crawl Space's.
