You will never have to pay to be listed as a top neighbor. Period. That important detail clarified, let's discuss how we arrive at two "top neighbors" for a given region:
Localism is a bustling collection of hyper-local communities, and the top neighbors should reflect those members who are most active. We want to create a level playing field that encourages the growth of communities — talent and dedication are required to win the day.
Stowe, Vermont is normally buzzing with tourists this time of year, and these past few weeks have been no exception. The small, resort town has been booked for the Christmas and New Years Holidays for weeks. But now, there is a new energy - the HGTV Sweepstakes for a chance to win the 2011 Dream Home located at Spruce Peak Mountain, in little Stowe, Vermont.

One can see tree trunks and branches throughout. Also, many of the materials are sustainable and came from local native pine and hemlock. The exterior features bark siding. There is also a stone patio which features a hot tub. In my photo, it is covered by snow.
