Don't Show My house!

Dinah Lee Griffey: Real Estate Agent in Allyn, WA

Time Flies for DinahToday was going to be wonderful. I had appointments for my clients who just flew into Seattle to see a few homes, 4 in fact.

They were spread out across the countryside but I was ready.

I had appointments made for each one along with a packet of the area, info on the house, and food to get us through if we ran a little late into the evening. I was ready.

My clients called at 2:00 to say that they had just arrived in Seattle and were going to check the Ferry scedule to get over to my side of the water. We were to meet at 2:00. The office was about an hour and a half away from them via ferry (if they caught one at the right time) and learning to navigate the area. I was frustrated but not down. We can always reschedule.

Or could we? I started to call everyone and rebook the showings. I can not say that I blame the people for the dissapointment but it was out of my hands. I then listened as each person I called read me the riot act for rescheduling. I understand. What did they want me to do- just leave them high and dry and wondering what was going on?

One lady seemed very nice and then called me back to say that my clients will NEVER be welcome to view her home. She went on to say that she may even take it off the market- this being the third time this has happened to her. Again I understand the disappointment. I had to rework my entire schedule for tomorrow. I do it though, because it is my job and I want to sell their home.

Would you prefer the selling Agent call and explain the delay or just ignore the uncomfortable situation and show someone elses home instead?

Motivation for Monday...

Dinah Crosses the BridgeSometimes we are faced with decisions, and we are not sure how to proceed. We come to a fork in the road or a bridge to cross and we freeze in our tracks.

What is wrong with crossing to the other side to just see what is over there?

If you never travel forward how do you expect to get anywhere?

Take the road less traveled, move forward, start on a new path, finish what you began.

This is what makes the difference between regret and opportunity.

You will never see what is awaiting you on the other side if you stay right where you are.Who knows what may be just around the corner?

Good morning Allyn Washington

This is my morning in Allyn, Washington. Even a picture has a hard time relaying just what I feel when I get to wake up to this. Believe me it is more impressive in person. To watch as the sun glides above Mt. Rainier, and glows over Case Inlet- casting all of the colors of the rainbow as the day unveils all it has to offer. I am in awe.
