Last Saturday, we picked up the first of what will be many baskets of amazing

fruits and vegetables from the Bountiful Baskets Food Co-op.

I've always wanted to try a CSA but never seemed to actually get around to doing it. I ran across Bountiful Baskets online and it was just too easy not to do! All of the ordering is handled online and just took a few minutes to setup. I placed my order, printed the receipt and then drove to the pick up site on Saturday to get my basket!

Since it was the first, of course we totally went overboard and ordered two baskets - one organic and one conventional. Both baskets are half fruits and half veggies. The organic basket is 100% organic. While contents can vary from week to week, it's mostly just normal produce items you would find in the grocery store.

I was a little worried we were going to end up with a bunch of strange things that we would never eat but that was far from the case. In fact, there was just one item included that I had never eaten before and that was a small basket of figs. I don't think I've ever had a fig outside of a newton and they were delicious!

Bountiful Baskets has co-ops throughout the country and a number of local pick up sites in Snohomish County. We decided on Arlington but Snohomish, Lynnwood and Duvall were also available. Pick up was quick and easy and it's very affordable! The conventional baskets are $15 and the organic are $25. That's easily half of what we would have paid in a grocery store for all of this!

High Clover Park neighborhood is located in Arlington WA just on the north side of the Arlington Airport.  One of the things you notice when you first enter into High Clover Park is how nice and wide open the sidewalk areas are and it feels like a "Park". Close to shopping and downtown Arlington.
