Whether you're looking to move into the Maple Valley area, or live here currently, it can be interesting to look at market trends and stats by individual neighborhoods. This report is for the Greenbrier area, which is technically a Black Diamond address, but located within the Tahoma School district. There are several divisions, but all of these homes are located on larger (typically 1/2 acre+) than average.
In order to give the most accurate picture of this year in review for Greenbrier, I decided to go back and compare 2008 to the prior two years. Please note, these numbers reflect single family homes only listed and sold through NWMLS and do not take into account any "by owner" or private sales.

Come join your Community on Tuesday Aug 4th at 5 P.M. for the 25th annual National Night Out! Maple Valley, Covington and Black Diamond all have great events planned for this terrific opportunity to get to know your neighbors and work together to help fight crime in our community.
The Black Diamond Community Center will be hosting a yummy BBQ. Here is your chance to take a bite out of crime and your favorite foods at the same time. Officer Chris Chatterson is responsible for organizing this event along with his K-9 partner Sabre. Police and Fire and Rescue will be there with their vehicles and the kids will have chance to crawl in the patrol cars and Fire Trucks.Meet City Officials and share your ideas on how we can improve our city as well as check into the opportunities that are available for you to get more involved.
Many neighborhood's through out the state are hosting there own block parties on Tuesday. If your neighborhood does not have one planned, think about throwing one together yourself. The better we get to know one another and our surroundings the more aware we are when something is not right and the more likely we are to get involved and help when our neighbors need us. Raising three daughter I can not tell you how grateful I am to know that my neighbors are watching out for my family.
