Cooling Off
Cooling Off
The grandkids invented a new game called “The Slide”
In it they climbed up and slid down, or ran down, or hopped down the coffee table some 50 times.
The older one decided it was time for a cooling off period. However, when she sat down in her little chair, she felt even more sweaty than before.
Time to go outside to cool down.
Of course, the wide expanse of grass called irresistibly for a run...
The video ends with the most magical sound on God’s green earth. The giggles and laughter of a happy child...

The Slide
The Slide
Saturday night is grandparents night.
There is a set routine. Supper. Clear the dishes. Then a little free time, then bath time, jammies, brush teeth. Then the six year old gets to choose her clothes for the next day and lay them out. Both get three books read to them, a few songs, hugs and kisses, and lights out.
The free time is play time. This week we invented a new game. It is called “The Slide”
Enjoy the video. If this is the last time we are invited over for grandparents night, you will know why...

Strike while the irons hot when buying land in Bothell
There is a lot of land that is currently on the market and there has never been a better time to buy in Bothell than now. The prices are reasonable because you aren’t competing with builders who in the years past were gobbling up every available lot.
Land for building
If you’re thinking about building a house soon and need to find a piece of land in Bothell that is currently for sale, phone me up. It is hard to tell the difference between land that is great for building on and land that is only second best when you’re looking on the Internet. I can tell you that whether the land you are looking at would be good for building on, some general advice about neighborhood value, local housing trends and most importantly some good ball park figures on developing your lot.
Land for investment
I have worked with a lot of clients in the past that have purchased Bothell land and have sat on it to resell later. By watching the new construction building trends and growth patterns in the area you can do quite well with land investments. Land for a home site can be a very time consuming project. Start with an area or neighborhood you want to live and have some preliminary ideas of the style of home you want to put on the lot than start your search.
It may be able to find an old tired house that can be torn down and replaced by a new custom built home. This might also save you time in permitting and utility hook-up fee and if you’re into sustainability you might be able to use some of the existing framing lumber.

The only way you can make a Bothell condo investment work for you is by firmly establishing ahead of time that you will be heading towards profit. If you have never been involved in a real estate transaction before you’ll need to get some help with this.
Contact your Bothell real estate agent and let him know that you need some expert advice. He’ll let you know who to contact to do some serious number crunching. There are a lot of numbers that need to be examined before coming to a final conclusion that a profit can be made. There are formulas and other mathematical processes that can help you work out the profit ratio from any property you are looking at buying.
When it comes to the right location and type of condo that would be the best investment, your agent is the person you need to turn to. He knows what parts of town have the best areas and which ones to avoid. He’ll have first-hand knowledge about these things and you can trust his judgement.
He’ll also let you know what kind of condo is most wanted in each area. For example, in one area 2 bedroom condos may be the rage while in another part of town 3 bedroom units may be hot. It all depends on the demographics and real estate trends in Bothell.
