| How do you like to go up in a swing, Up in the air so blue? Oh, I do think it the pleasantest thing Ever a child can do! Up in the air and over the wall, Till I can see so wide, River and trees and cattle and all Over the countryside-- Till I look down on the garden green, Down on the roof so brown-- Up in the air I go flying again, Up in the air and down! |
I am sharing with you one of my favorite poems. Although Sarah may not be swinging she is flying. She is free of the worries of yesterday and tomorrow. She is in her own moment alone with the sea and the sky and her smile.
I love Sarah.-Mom

How far would you go to get the house sold? I have had an interesting week.
So far I have picked up a dead bird (handful of feathers) weeding on Windermere Service day last Friday.
Then I moved onto dead opossum removal from a listing that was to be shown the next morning, (can't have buyers finding that) It turned that the buyers ended up skipping that house anyway.
To this last Sunday I was to find a headless squirrel on the porch of the home I was holding open. This one was the worst of the three. I emboldened myself took a deep breath and tossed the carcass off to the side below the deck. Finished.
Or was I? You know I wasn't because I am still typing. My cell rang and I stepped outside for better reception. Then I heard a crunch... crunch. The cat was back. We fought over the dead little beast and I won. Is that really Winning?
I then tossed the now half a body, on the verge of tumbling out of the rolled up door mat, into the garbage can.
The cat glared at me. And I starred back- knowing that I did what I should for my client. Now Lets sell that house!
Sincerely, Dinah Lee
Currently accepting offers, as to sell houses and not clean up dead things.

If you happen to be in the area of Mason or Kitsap County around the 4th of july, find a body of water and enjoy the show!
One thing i truly love about our area is that every year on the Hood Canal, there is a professional Firework show put on in the town of Hoodsport. The show is absolutely amazing and you will be glad you viewed it.
Whether you be on the fresh water lake or the salt water, I can guarantee you there will be a show to watch. The famous Hoodsport Firework Show will be on the 4th of July this year, and I must say the best place to view it from is down the North Shore in the town of Tahuya, or in a boat on the Hood Canal itself.

There was a Mason County Public Hospital district public meeting last night, June 30, at the Lakeland Village Community Club.
The meeting was hosted by the Allyn Community Association. The turnout was nearly standing room only. Officials from Hospital Districts 1 & 2 spoke about their districts and answered questions from the audience.
The main reason for this public meeting was about a proposed redrawing of the District Boundaries. There is a petition going around asking voters within the Allyn, Lakeland and Victor precincts of District 1 to let those living within these boundaries to be withdrawn from District 1 and become apart of District 2.
There was a specified discussion about how this withdrawal would play out.
For example:
First, the petition going around must have 25% of the registered voters within the three precincts sign the petition asking to be withdrawn.
Then after verification of signatures etc., the three District 1 Commissioners would hold a public meeting and ask two questions:
•1. Is it in the best interest of the area in question to be withdrawn?
•2. Is it in the best interest of the District as a whole for the area to be withdrawn?
Next the County Commissioners would also hold a public meeting to answer the same questions.
Here is what is interesting. If the two boards answer "YES" to both questions, then the three precincts of District 1 are removed from District 1 without a vote.
However, if either board answers "NO" to either of the questions, the withdrawal would need the approval of all voters in the Mason County Hospital District 1.
If the three precincts of Allyn, LakeLand and Victor are withdrawn from District 1 then a similar process is needed to become a part of District 2.
Overall the meeting went well. The officials from both Districts gave the impression that they are cooperating. However, there was a feeling that District 1 does not want an adjustment to the boundaries.
