Happy Friday!

Wow did this week fly by! Wrote an offer for a buyer (and of course there are multiple offers, so we will see), I have been working with a builder trying to get them to take a contingent offer (not looking so good), and got offers in on two of my listings! Woo Hoo! And now that we have an offer for one of my sellers we will be able to put in an offer on a condo that they have been keeping an eye on. Yippee, a GREAT week.

And even better... Summer has come back to the Pacific Northwest! Yep, looks to be a gorgeous weekend.

Hope your weekend is swell too - wherever you are :) See ya next Friday.

Being broke is not the same as being broken, losing money is not the same as being lost, and finding your balance is not something you can do on a balance sheet.

Don't confuse having less with being less, having more with being more, or what you have with who you are.

Put your faith, and not your fears, in charge. Courage isn't the absence of fears but how you wrestle with them.

If you're busy hugging the past, you can't embrace the future. Don't let the past kidnap your future.

This too shall pass. Change is the only constant. In order to take a breath, you must release your breath.

Covington WA Real Estate

Covington WA Real Estate in South King County has a lot to offer from recreation, beautiful views to a better home value. Most cities offer all the conveniences that our northern county cities enjoy in a more rural setting. Also, the view of Mt Rainier is a staple! Parks, lakes, rivers, and mountains draw people to South King County neighborhoods.

My first South King County city to highlight is Covington, WA which is nestled between Kent and Maple Valley. Covington is an emerging city enjoying a desirable location right off Hwy 18. Conveniences such as Costco, Pier 1, Kohl's, Petco, Fred Meyer, and other well known retail stores are establishing themselves in Covington. With these operations in the city, Covington is starting to capture quite a bit of attention.

Covington WA Real Estate is ideal for the first time homebuyer! The median sales price is $220k, however, there is ample new construction and resale properties that will "wow" you. Also, a new 55+ gated community near downtown Covington starts in the low $400's.

Covington facts:

  • Population 17,360
  • Area Square Miles 6.5
  • Number of Households 4,398
  • Owner Occupied 98%
  • Median Household Income $63,711
  • Legislative District 47th
  • King County Council District 9
  • Incorporation Date August 31, 1997

As for Covington night life there are a couple bars in the city but I cannot say there is a major draw for night life. There are restaurants like Red Robin, Puerta Vallarta, Ristorante Isabella, Applebees, Sushi and more. However, the city of Covington WA gears more toward the quiet lifestyle with local lakes, trails, parks and city activities. The Covington Parks and Recreation Department serve the residents of Covington by offering a wide range of quality activities and events for the entire family and well-maintained parks and trails.
