Sun & Fun in Ephrata

Debra & Raymond Gravelle: Real Estate Agent in Moses Lake, WA

Big or small, there is always an event going on in the city of Ephrata. Starting in the spring, catch a local musical or art show featuring our aspiring artists.

Ephrata offers the Sage N' Sun Festival June 13-15. The lawn in front of the Grant County Courthouse becomes a stage for live music and vendors, with Basin Street closing for the annual parade.

The town also hosts the Taste of the Basin on April 19, featuring state wines and beers, for the Ephrata Chamber annual fundraiser.

The farmers market runs 8 a.m. to noon on Saturdays from June 14 through October, downtown Ephrata.T

the Basin Summer Sounds kickoff event and 2008 poster unveiling is May 16, live music, free admission, at the Ephrata Recreation Center

Basin Summer Sounds, a free music and wine festival, is July 18-19. For more information, visit www.basin summersounds.com.

Beezley Burn Bike Race takes place on April 26th. For more information visit http://www.beezleyburn.com/.

The Ephrata Airport is host to many gliding events, including the regional soaring championships and classic airplane fly-ins.

Miracle on Main Street, Ephrata's Christmas celebration takes place the first Saturday in December. The festival includes a fun run, kids activities, parade, lighting ceremony and fireworks.

There are plenty of back roads and hillsides around Ephrata to hike, including dirt roads and trails near the airport and along the West Canal, which runs through the city. Hike up the Beezley Hills for a more challenging trek
