Does this scare you just a little?

It totally freaks me out. Check out the teeth and the menacing smile! At least the color should get your attention before he devours you.It is hard to say just how big he is in the picture. I can only imagine what he would be saying if he could only talk...YIKES!-

The fisherman of giant octopus (Rolan´s Version) by RolanGonzalez

There is an area on the Hood Canal that many scuba divers know well located off of Highway 101 just outside of Shelton, Washington- called Octopus hole.

It has been said that diving there is one of the greatest experiences that you can have. The colors are brillant and the underwater sights amazing. I wanted to share with you a few video clips that many of us are unable to see.

I will warn you... what you are about to witness may shock you...

North American Bald Eagle a symbol of Hood Canal Lifestyle

Eagles of Mason County

Flying high overhead with no boundaries- searching for prey as it becomes night along the waters of Hood Canal, the North American Bald Eagle rises and falls in the cooling night air.

"Today will become tomorrow and night will fade as the light from another day searches through the dark to find it's way."

The Hood Canal recreation area offers us an inclusive open air lifestyle, just like our friend in the photo.

From hiking the high trails to exploring the depths of the Hood Canal waterways, there are places to be discovered where you are the only one there. Quiet, Peaceful and Serenity are only minutes away.

Let the cell phone ring and go unanswered, let the Instant messages fill your in-box, meetings can be rescheduled and the traffic can wait. Toss out the Hustle and Bustle mentality and find your individual freedom of a Hood Canal Lifestyle.

The Steel Bridge of Mason County

Dinah Lee Griffey: Real Estate Agent in Allyn, WA

Located high above the scenic view in Mason County and just below the grand Olympic mountains is the Steel Bridge. Known for its high location and interesting architecture, photographers flock to this sight to get their own picture, and some stories to take home as well.

Constructed by the Simpson Timber company in 1929 it was the only way to access the timber out of the steep and rugged location. It is one of only two bridges like it in the state of Washington. The Steel Bridge rest in what feels like mid air at a height of 420 feet above the Craggie surface below. Visitors are welcome, and I have provided a link below with directions.

Extreme caution is recommended when visiting
