Edith Moulton Park Kirkland, WA is nestled in the middle of the Kirkland suburbs. The park is situated in a suburban Juanita neighborhood, making it a wonderful addition to the community. The park is within walking distance of both Helen Keller Elementary and Juanita High School.  Edith Moulton Park Kirkland, WA is a beautiful and pleasant 26 acre forested park.

Originally, the land was a 20 acre farm. In 1897, the land was owned by Jennie Moulton, who was given the land as a gift from her sons. On this land, Jennie Moulton raised her granddaughter, Edith. Jennie’s sons cleared half of the land, using it for a pasture and orchard. Additionally, a farm house was built on the property. Jennie’s granddaughter, Edith attended Kirkland High and would later earn a degree in home economics from the University of Washington. Later in life, Edith spent 25 years teaching students on the Olympic Peninsula. After her grandmother’s death, Edith resided on the land. Right before her own passing, Edith bequeathed the land to the King County Parks Department. Edith’s hope was that children would have access to nature and would have a place to play that was off the street. By the 1960’s the farmhouse had been destroyed in a fire, but the rest of Edith Moulton Park Kirkland, WA  remains beautiful and intact.
