The Orthodox Christian Church is regarded as the Church of the Apostles, with the Church being founded by Christ, himself, and has survived intact to the present day. The orthodox faith is a faith that has been passed down with tradition from Jesus to the apostles, and handed down through generations. The word orthodox means, “right teaching” or “right worship” in Greek. The Orthodox Church worship stands in line with teaching and founding of the ancient Christian church. The Orthodox style of worship is complex and goes beyond historical facts, in order to best understand, is to experience it for yourself.

West Water Real Estate donated the building and in 1999 the city of Kirkland worked with the Kirkland Heritage Society to move the building from its original location at 220 First Street to Heritage Park.
