The word orthodox means, “right teaching” or “right worship” in Greek. The Orthodox Church worship stands in line with teaching and founding of the ancient
Christian church. The Orthodox style of worship is complex and goes beyond historical facts, in order to best understand, is to experience it for yourself.

West Water Real Estate donated the building and in 1999 the city of Kirkland worked with the Kirkland Heritage Society to move the building from its original location at 220 First Street to Heritage Park.
