Lacey, WA wasn't always called Lacey - it first was named Woodland after Isaac & Catherine Wood who claimed land there in 1853. It did not incorporate until December of 1966, and the name Lacey came from developer and attorney O.C. Lacey.
Lacey is a city without a real downtown - or maybe it has two downtowns. The city hall and library and Woodland Square (yes, there's that name Woodland again), along with one of the main commercial areas are perhaps one downtown. And the fast growing area known as Hawks Prairie is another downtown of sorts - at least a major retail and office location.

Large new homes giving you more than square footage; a custom look on a dime.
This was the challenge, find me and my family a brand new home, over 3,000 square feet, 5 bedrooms, 3 baths, with custom features such as wood floors, tile counters, a kitchen with all of the bells and whistles. for UNDER $300,000
Where am I going to find that? Well it's a good thing Lacey was on the list.
We could have found a box, but Jamaria wanted to see large new homes giving you more than square footage; a custom look on a dime.
.

We ended up just where we begin. Freestone Station in Lacey. These homes have won awards. They have been voted the best buy in Pierce and Thurston Counties and that's no joke. To be honest I'm not sure how they can do it. When you see all of the features that come standard you will be amazed. Large new homes giving you more than square footage; a custom look on a dime is only part of the story. This story is about a military family serving our Country; moving to the State of Washington with five children and looking for a place to call home. It was indeed my honor and pleasure to help in this pursuit;
I want you to meet Jamaria in her kitchen; see for yourself in the video the happy face of a new homeowner. She has turned this Large new house, into her family home. She found the large new homes giving you more than square footage; a custom look on a dime.
I want to share this email from Jamaria with you.

If you love buying handcrafted gifts for family and friends - & like the idea that you are also helping support your local economy - you can't beat shopping at local holiday bazaars.
There's a good one here in Lacey this Friday, November 6th from 4-8 PM & Saturday, November 7th from 9 AM - 4 PM at Thurston County Fairgrounds (3054 Carpenter Rd SE, Lacey). This is the 18th year for this bazaar & there will be something like 100 different crafters with very cool, unique items to tempt you - 4 buildings full! Parking & admission are free though food bank donations are gratefully accepted. There will even be food for lunch or bake sale items available if you shop so hard that you work up an appetite!
In past years I have found scented candles, ornaments and other decorations, clever wooden plaques, knitted sweaters & hats and cozy, cuddly scarves, hand painted wine glasses & carafes, colorful old fashioned rag rugs, yummy jams, jellies, pickles & lovely jewelry of all types!
So much fun to browse, admire the talent on display - & get your shopping started!!
